As part of the ENLIGHT academic leadership programme, top leaders from ten European universities met in Uppsala today. The theme of the day was leadership in a multicultural world. It is easy to focus on our differences. But what if we are actually more similar than we realise? I feel hopeful. Europe’s academic world is full of wise, friendly, reflective leaders.
During the afternoon, I had the opportunity to lead a short discussion with two skilled academic leaders Mats Larhed and Åsa Cajander. We talked about the challenges of leadership, but also about how they have shaped and developed their own leadership. What if boldness is a skill, too?
